Ladies Paddling Day: July 21, 2013

COME PADDLE WITH US: All Abilities, All Ages, All Ladies!

If you have a kayak, even if it isn’t a Pygmy, we are gathering up for a fun day on the Port Townsend waterfront Sunday, July 21st. This event has been so popular that all our Pygmy boats have been reserved already. But if you are a lady who would like to come hangout and meet new paddling friends, share your kayaking knowledge, and have an awesome day on the water, come on down. We are partnering with SheJumps a 501 C3 non profit dedicated to increasing women’s participation in outdoor pursuits and raising money for  a Pygmy/Shejumps scholarship to send a girl (age 7-13) to a week long kayaking camp, and support awesome SheJumps initiatives getting women and girls outside.

Suggested Donations: All are sliding scale- money should not prevent a gal from getting on the water.
$5-10: if you bring your own boat
$25: Donors at this level get a swag bag with goodies like a free beer at the Pourhouse (only for those 21 and up), a Vapur water bottle, Daily Bird token for a free, locally thrown clay cup and a Kate’s Real Food bar.

What to Bring: Kayaking gear, Kayak, paddle, PFD, Snacks/picnic lunch

Where: Meet at the Pygmy showroom, 355 Hudson st. Port Townsend WA

When: 11 am Sunday July 21

Hope to see you here in Port Townsend!
