Canoecopia 2015: March 13th – 15th

Show Hours: Friday 4:00 to 9:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM,  Sunday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

We’ve had so much fun in past years meeting local Pygmy owners and just sharing in the enthusiasm for a new season that we’ve decided to return again to the “largest paddle sports event in the world”.   If you haven’t been, Canoecopia is a great event with lots of wonderful presenters and a giant room full of paddling enthusiasts. We look forward to once again attending.

All of the boats in our display last year were provided by builders in the area.  They were beautiful and we proudly displayed their accomplished construction. People at the show especially loved hearing that the boats were made in the area. If you have a Pygmy boat you are proud of and would enjoy sharing it in the display, please contact us. Folks volunteering their boat will get two free passes for the full weekend plus a free Pygmy shirt/hat. If this sounds like fun, shoot us an email (click here) with photos of the boat.

People also really enjoy speaking with other folks who have built their own boats. In the past volunteers were put to work helping to explain the kit construction process to people interested in stitch and glue boat building.  If you have built a Pygmy and are interested in volunteering, we could use a few more voices (we’re all hoarse by the end). All volunteers will receive a shirt or hat plus a free pass to Canoecopia for the day they volunteer (volunteer shifts are 3 hours). If this sounds like fun, shoot us an email. Either way, we hope to see you in Madison for this fun event!
